SOU Emergency Management Program manages, coordinates, and supports the development, planning and training of the University’s Emergency Operations Plan. This Plan assists SOU in responding to both natural and manmade disasters. In the event of a disaster, it is SOU’s goal to restore University Services and Function as quickly as possible while maintaining a safe environment for the campus community.
The SOU Emergency Management Program communicates, collaborates, and trains with our emergency management partners which include the City of Ashland, Jackson County, local Health Departments, Rogue Community College, and Ashland School District. This collaboration allows a coordinated response in order to better meet the needs of our campus community.
Preparedness is everyone’s responsibility. This site provides information to help you prepare for emergencies large and small, at home, at work, at school, or in your travels. Please take the time to follow these recommendations. It may one day save your life.
